Karlštejn

Your ceremony will take place in a castle that holds a special place in the history of the Czech Republic. Karlštejn Castle, founded by the Czech King and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, was originally intended as a place to store royal treasures, especially holy relics and imperial regalia. Majestic, imbued with a medieval spirit, Karlštejn is one of the best places to hold your wedding.

Everything here breathes history and it seems that knights are about to enter the castle courtyard, dismount and, striking sparks from the cobblestones with their spurs, head to the Clock Tower or Burghof. And the king, with a tired and sad face, will silently walk to his chambers.

Your celebration will take place in the ceremonial Ceremonial Hall, which amazes with its magnificent decoration and luxurious arched vaults. The hall has retained its original appearance and today looks the same as it did under Charles IV. And the wedding ceremony will end with a glass of tart aromatic wine from local vineyards, which were the special pride of the Czech royal court. A wedding at Karlštejn Castle is a celebration that will take place behind the impregnable walls of an ancient fortress. And your union will be just as strong, solid and unshakable!
