Old Town Hall — the charm of old Prague

Staroměstská radnice

Old Town Hall (Staroměstská radnice in Czech) is a historic complex of municipal buildings, including a 56-metre tower with the Astronomical Clock, known as the Prague Orloj, a chapel with an oriel window, and five houses.

Originally the buildings served as the town hall for the Old Town, or Staré Město, before becoming the town hall for all of Prague.

The Astronomical Clock on the town hall tower is one of the city’s most popular landmarks.

A wedding at Old Town Hall places your ceremony in the historic heart of Prague.

Wedding ceremonies take place in the wedding hall on the second floor of the town hall, accompanied by a live organ. The ceremony is conducted by the deputy mayor of Prague 1 in the presence of an official interpreter.

Preparation and translation of up to 6 documents per couple are included in all packages. These are passports, birth certificates and certificates of marital status. Apostilles on the originals are not included.

You provide the originals — we take care of preparing your documents for a wedding at Old Town Hall Prague. We check your documents and arrange their translation into Czech.

Is Old Town Hall right for us?

It is a good choice if you would like a civil ceremony at Prague’s famous town hall followed by a wedding walk through the city centre. Landmarks and photo locations are nearby, so you can continue your day without unnecessary travel.

Old Town Square is always full of life. If you are dreaming of a secluded setting, consider other venues as well.

How many people does the hall accommodate?

The hall accommodates up to 40 people.

On which days are ceremonies held?

On Thursdays until 13:00. A €150 supplement applies on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

How many hours of photography are included?

Premium includes a 2-hour photo session. Luxury includes 3 hours of photography and 3 hours of videography, with a highlight film of 1–4 minutes.

When should we book?

For Old Town Hall, we recommend booking at least six months in advance to have a wider choice of dates.

Can we have a wedding with just the two of us?

Yes. If you travel without guests, we can provide witnesses for your ceremony. This service is included in every package.

What document preparation is included?

Every package includes review, preparation and translation of up to 6 documents per couple. We confirm your individual list in advance. Apostilles on original documents are paid for separately.

Which extra costs should we plan for?

Translation of additional documents starts at €80. Services beyond your selected package and additional transfer time are charged separately. We include your chosen extras in the quote in advance.
