Maribo Town Hall (same-sex)

Maribo is a cozy town on the island of Lolland in the south of Zealand in Denmark.
The island itself is located on the border with Germany with a very convenient ferry crossing, which can be remembered as a wonderful adventure in addition to the wedding. Often, couples who want to travel around Europe choose this location. You can fly to one of the European countries, rent a car there and, having stopped in Maribo, begin an exciting journey called love. The very presence on this island differs from the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, with its atmosphere of romance, the Middle Ages and incredible Scandinavian beauty.

In Maribo, they produce a special cherry wine, which is sold only there and during the wedding ceremony you will be offered to try it.

Upon arrival in Maribo, our employee who speaks Russian will meet you and accompany you through all the instances of filing documents, and will also be present at the ceremony and, if desired, translate it into Russian.

The wedding ceremony at Maribo Town Hall lasts about 20 minutes. Very romantic and beautiful.

The warm memories of this place will warm you throughout your life.

Documentation for Wedding in Denmark:

  1. Valid passports
  2. Birth certificate
  3. Certificate of marital status, i.e. whether he/she is single, divorced or widowed, issued by an official authority of his/her country. (For Israelis Tamzit Rishum)
    • The above certificate is valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
    • It is also necessary to legalize the certificate of marital status. The best form of legalization is an apostille stamp if their country has signed the “Hague Convention Abolishing Requirements for the Legalization of Foreign Public Documents of October 5, 1961.” Otherwise, he/she will need to contact the official authority of his/her country for the necessary legalization.
  4. The original divorce document, in the case of a divorced person, which states that the divorce is final and not subject to appeal, duly signed, stamped and legalized.
  5. Death certificate of the spouse, in case he/she was married, but his/her spouse died. The certificate must be legalized.
  6. Certificate of change of name/surname.
