What do you need to have a wedding in Georgia?

Georgia offers a wide variety of wedding ceremony venues.

A wedding in Georgia should be booked no later than 2 months before the desired date. And if we are talking about an off-site ceremony or one of the popular places, then sometimes it is worth booking a year in advance. In addition to submitting documents to the municipality and receiving approval of the documents, you also need to have all your necessary documents certified and translated by a notary, which also takes time. Certification of documents and their translation are paid separately depending on your package of documents and the time before the wedding date. We also have an Express service for preparing documents in an extremely short time for an additional fee. Without the original documents, the wedding will not take place.

For off-site ceremonies, you need to make a notarized power of attorney and in this case you will not need to be present at the submission of documents, our agent in Georgia will do this for you.

Until you have submitted the marriage certificate, and therefore have not declared its conclusion, you are not considered married. Failure to present the marriage certificate within a certain period (depending on the country) is a violation of the law.

Valid passports
Certificate of marital status, i.e. whether he/she is single, divorced or widowed, issued by an official authority of his/her country.
