For Israelis, a wedding in Greece is a great chance to make your dream of a perfect wedding come true. The ancient cradle of European civilization, Greece meets the most demanding tastes of its guests.
We are holding a Wedding in Greece on the island of Crete, in the city of Agios Nikolaos. Crete is the largest of the Greek islands, located almost 1000 km from Israel. A wedding in Greece is, first of all, a two-hour comfortable flight directly to Crete, and a trip to one of the most amazing islands of the Mediterranean Sea.
After the Wedding in Greece, for a small “honeymoon”, everyone will find something special here for themselves: fans of beach holidays – luxury hotels and white sand beaches, lovers of more active tourism – mountain trails, picturesque gorges and lakes, canyons and stalactites caves. And those who want to join the ancient history can visit the legendary Knossos Palace of the ancient Minoans (remember the myths about the labyrinth of the Minotaur, the Greek hero Theseus and the guiding thread of Ariadne), the archaeological museum in Heraklion and ancient fortresses from different centuries.
A wedding in Greece is not only about beach and hiking. To replenish your energy reserves, there are many different local delicacies: excellent olive oil and wine, local cheeses and fruits, seafood delicacies and local coffee. The most popular place to dine in Crete is not an expensive restaurant with Michelin stars, but a family tavern with simple, but natural and tasty food (and – be careful! – huge portions). Here you will not only be fed to your heart’s content, but also introduced to traditional local dances, sirtaki and “skeet dance”. So your Wedding in Greece will also be fun, with a sparkle.
The city of Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the eastern region of Lasithi. It is considered one of the best resorts on the island. The most fashionable hotels and beautiful beaches are located here.
On the one hand, Agios Nikolaos is only 50 km from the island’s largest airport, and on the other hand, it is only 130 km from Santorini, using a high-speed ferry, you can visit it during a one-day excursion.
A wedding in Greece can be an incredible adventure that will be the perfect start to your life story together.
Documents for a wedding in Greece:
- Valid passports
- Birth certificate
- Certificate of marital status, i.e. whether he/she is single, divorced or widowed, issued by an official authority of his/her country. (For Israelis Tamzit Rishum)
- The above certificate is valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
- It is also necessary to legalize the certificate of marital status. The best form of legalization is an apostille stamp if their country has signed the “Hague Convention Abolishing Requirements for the Legalization of Foreign Public Documents of October 5, 1961.” Otherwise, he/she will need to contact the official authority of his/her country for the necessary legalization.
- The original divorce document, in the case of a divorced person, which states that the divorce is final and not subject to appeal, duly signed, stamped and legalized.
- Death certificate of the spouse, in case he/she was married, but his/her spouse died. The certificate must be legalized.
- Certificate of change of name/surname.
- Notarised power of attorney.
