Wedding in Cyprus

A wedding in Cyprus for Israelis is a great opportunity to have the perfect wedding in a fantastically beautiful location. It is not for nothing that, according to Greek myths, it was here that the goddess of love Aphrodite was born, emerging from the sea foam.

A paradise island, bathed in the rays of the gentle southern sun and azure waves of the sea, with high-class hotels and European service, is just a half-hour flight from Israel. Cyprus offers newlyweds not only a luxurious place for their wedding ceremony, but also an excellent opportunity to spend their honeymoon here.

All Cyprus beaches, even if they are located at the foot of the first line luxury hotels, are open and accessible to the public. Many Cyprus beaches are marked with the Blue Flag of the European Union for environmental cleanliness and infrastructure.

The best beach is Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa.

However, Cyprus is a great place to immerse yourself in history and adventure. Many conquerors have visited these shores – from the ancient Greeks and Egyptians to the Crusaders and Ottoman Turks. And they all left traces of their stay in the form of fortresses, temples, etc.

This island is ready to provide you with its picturesque towns, villages and beaches for your wedding celebration. Cyprus offers a wide variety of wedding venues. If you’re dreaming of a wedding with a historical twist, choose one of the ancient villages of Cyprus. If you’re looking for an intimate, romantic ceremony by the sea, there are several sandy beaches and quaint rocky coastlines to consider. If you decide to limit yourself to an economical option, opt for a ceremony within the walls of one of the local city halls, especially since they are usually located in interesting old buildings or take place in a pleasant outdoor park.

Type of wedding venue you prefer

Ceremony at City Hall, no extra charge for the registrar to travel

If you intend to hold the ceremony as economically and quickly as possible, then you should consider the option of registering your marriage directly at the city hall. However, there are several interesting options where the wedding venue is located outdoors – in the garden (park) next to the city hall.

There is such an opportunity in Paphos: the gardens of Peyia and the gardens of Aphrodite (Geroskipou). And also in Limassol (Germasogeia City Hall).

Wedding Ceremony on the seaside

If you dream of having a wedding ceremony on the coast, you should take into account the presence of additional costs: a travel master of ceremonies, (possibly) rental of a venue, its minimal decor. However, your expenses will be repaid by the incredible impressions of the ceremony in a picturesque and romantic place, and professional photographs will help preserve these memories for a lifetime.

Wedding on a yacht

If you’re looking to celebrate your wedding in a truly nautical atmosphere, you can charter a yacht (available in a variety of sizes). It is worth considering that the wedding ceremony is held on a ship at the pier, then the couple and guests go on a wedding cruise, with a banquet or party.

In any case, our experienced agent will help you plan all such aspects of your wedding ceremony.

A wedding in Cyprus should be booked no later than 2 weeks before the desired date. In addition to submitting documents to the municipality itself, which we do for you, and obtaining approval of the documents, you also need to have time to certify all your necessary documents and notarize them, which also takes time. Certification of documents and their translation are paid separately depending on your package of documents and deadlines before the wedding date. We also have an Express document preparation service in an extremely short time for an additional fee. When the documents are ready, you will need to pick them up and take them with you to Cyprus to present them at the municipality. Without the original documents, the wedding will not take place.
During the presentation of the originals at the municipality in Cyprus, you will be accompanied by our agent, who will monitor and manage the process, and in case of questions or unforeseen situations, will resolve them.

The sooner you book your wedding with us, the more likely you are to receive exactly the conditions and services that suit you best. For example, the date that suits you or the photographer you like best. We have a large selection of contractors to suit different tastes and budgets.

A wedding ceremony in Cyprus lasts about 20 minutes. The official part of the ceremony is not subject to change. You will need to take an oath prepared in advance by the municipality. If you want to add something on your own (vows, breaking a glass, sand ceremony, etc.), you can do this after the official part..

Receiving a marriage certificate, including its apostille, occurs on the same day if the ceremony took place on a weekday before 14:00 and was booked sufficiently in advance. In other cases, the marriage certificate will be sent to your hotel within 3 working days or by mail, and it is also possible to pay extra for express delivery.

If you ordered a photo and/or video session, you will receive the material within 3 months from the date of shooting.

After receiving the marriage certificate, to register the marriage in your country, you must submit it to the appropriate authorities established by your country or to the embassy of your country if you are not located in its territory.
