Staroměstská radnice
The Old Town Hall (Czech: Staroměstská radnice) is a historical complex of buildings of the Prague municipality, including a 56-meter tower with the Astronomical Clock (the so-called Prague Orloj), a chapel with a bay window and five houses.
Initially the buildings served only as the municipality of the Old Town (“Stare Mesto” in Czech), but later the Town Hall became the municipality of all Prague.
The astronomical clock in the Town Hall tower is one of the city’s most popular attractions.
The wedding ceremony at the Old Town Hall in Prague is remarkable for the charm of the historical heart of the city.
Wedding ceremonies are held in the wedding hall, located on the second floor of the town hall, accompanied by the sounds of a real organ. The ceremony is conducted by the vice-mayor of the Prague 1 city district in the presence of an official translator.
The extraordinary ancient atmosphere of the Town Hall and the congratulations of numerous tourists from different countries at the end of the ceremony will remain forever in your memory.
A wedding in the old town hall is very popular for a number of reasons:
- This is a very beautiful registry office and the price matches, which means it is a budget option for marriage in Prague, not much more expensive than a regular registry office, but you get that very medieval atmosphere and a great place for a photo shoot.
- This is the very center of Prague – there is no more central! This means that all your guests can easily get to your wedding venue and you will not have to spend additional money on transfers for guests.

- If you ordered a photo session, then you do not need to spend the time paid to the photographer on the trip and you fully use his time for photography.
- Very often, the couple and guests prefer to stay in this location, regardless of the location of the ceremony, but due to the fact that almost all the sights of Prague are within walking distance from this place. And if you need to get somewhere, you will be pleasantly surprised by public transport.
Due to the popularity of this ceremony place, take into account that you need to book your wedding date well in advance, otherwise there may not be the date that interests you. We recommend booking no later than six months in advance.

Documents for a wedding in the Czech Republic:
- Valid passports
- Birth certificate
- Certificate of marital status, i.e. whether he/she is single, divorced or widowed, issued by an official authority of his/her country. (For Israelis Tamzit Rishum)
- The above certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
- It is also necessary to legalize the certificate of marital status. The best form of legalization is an apostille stamp if their country has signed the “Hague Convention Abolishing Requirements for the Legalization of Foreign Public Documents of October 5, 1961.” Otherwise, he/she will need to contact the official authority of his/her country for the necessary legalization.
- The original divorce document, in the case of a divorced person, which states that the divorce is final and not subject to appeal, duly signed, stamped and legalized.
- Death certificate of the spouse, in case he/she was married, but his/her spouse died. The certificate must be legalized.
- Certificate of change of name/surname.
