We invite you to make your most cherished dreams come true and organize a wedding in one of the most colorful castles in the Czech Republic – in Loket Castle. A wedding in Loket Castle is an ideal place for a costume wedding in a medieval style. The castle is located away from noisy cities and major highways, which allowed us to preserve its exterior almost in its original form.
Loket is an ancient royal residence, built on a rock massif more than 800 years ago, surrounded by the Ohře River. Loket is one of the oldest castles in the country, it was built as a border fortress in the west of the Czech Republic.
A wedding in Loket Fortress will be an unforgettable event for you: the newlyweds are met at the gates of the castle by the burgrave, and accompanied by a squad of knights, he escorts them to the registration hall, where the wedding ceremony takes place (lasts about an hour). The ceremony takes place in the Wedding Hall, which is decorated with amazing frescoes, original wooden ceilings and old portraits of outstanding artists of past centuries. You will be captivated by its medieval flavor and luxurious knightly attributes, which have been perfectly preserved to this day. Burning candles casting a reflection on the vaults of the knight’s hall, the delicate aroma of wild flowers, a feeling of happiness and endless confidence in a strong union of two hearts – this is exactly the kind of wedding that happy newlyweds dream of.
After the ceremony, a knight’s tournament is held, and the entire event is accompanied by live historical music performed by musicians dressed in colorful medieval clothes.
And your wedding photos will be decorated with picturesque landscapes and endless flower fields spread out in the vicinity of the fortress.

Documents for a wedding in the Czech Republic:
- Valid passports
- Birth certificate
- Certificate of marital status, i.e. whether he/she is single, divorced or widowed, issued by an official authority of his/her country. (For Israelis Tamzit Rishum)
- The above certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
- It is also necessary to legalize the certificate of marital status. The best form of legalization is an apostille stamp if their country has signed the “Hague Convention Abolishing Requirements for the Legalization of Foreign Public Documents of October 5, 1961.” Otherwise, he/she will need to contact the official authority of his/her country for the necessary legalization.
- The original divorce document, in the case of a divorced person, which states that the divorce is final and not subject to appeal, duly signed, stamped and legalized.
- Death certificate of the spouse, in case he/she was married, but his/her spouse died. The certificate must be legalized.
- Certificate of change of name/surname.
- Notarised power of attorney.
